Who is it for?

Anyone identifying as a woman and working in motorsport engineering with at least three years’ experience, based anywhere in the world.

McLaren Applied is committed to working to balance gender inequality across the engineering industry and is proud to sponsor this award to recognise female talent in the world of motorsport engineering.

What are the awards for?

The World Motorsport Symposium Awards has become renowned for gathering most of the key influential leaders in the motorsport industry, while offering a perfect networking environment in a friendly setting. It is also an evening to celebrate the race engine designers, racecar aerodynamicists, ground-breaking technologies, green technology and the inaugural McLaren Applied Female Engineer of the Year Award winners.

These awards are open for self-nomination; the more information provided the better
Judges are looking for remarkable innovation and game-changing technologies as well as ground-breaking motorsport technology that enables a positive impact on the environment
Inspirational and impactful work and significant advancements made to improve the quality of life from the unsung heroes in the industry is especially welcome
