📌 Who the award is for​​​

• Engineers, technical directors, powertrain specialists, team, manufacturers, and technology companies working in motorsport

• Individuals or organisations that have developed or significantly advanced a motorsport powertrain system within the last 12 months

• Professionals currently active in the motorsport industry.

• If you work in motorsport and have created an innovative internal combustion, hybrid, electric, hydrogen, or alternative-fuel powertrain solution, this award is designed to recognise your achievement.​​​

📌 General eligibility

• You don’t need to be based in a particular country — entries can come from anywhere in the world.

• Typically it’s aimed at motorsport engineers, teams, companies, or technical innovators — anyone actively involved in developing engineering innovations for motorsport.

📌 Entry requirements
To enter the award, nominees are expected to:

• Have a background in motorsport engineering (a brief CV outlining experience is usually required)​

• Submit a written submission (approx. 400–500 words) explaining:

  • What the powertrain is

  • What makes it innovative

  • Performance data or measurable impact

  • Why it represents a step forward for motorsport

• A brief professional biography or company profile

• Supporting technical evidence (if available)

• Entries are reviewed by a panel of industry experts and senior technical leaders in motorsport engineering.

• Judges look for:
