Barrie Colvin, Technical Director, Ru-Bix Advanced Materials, accepts the Green  Tech award for  its flagship Halo-S tooling board at the WMS24 and the team from Syensco accept it att the WMS25 for their Bio resin used on the Mercedes W16 F1 car.

  • This category is open to individuals or organisations developing sustainable technologies, processes, or systems that reduce environmental impact while maintaining or enhancing competitive performance.

  • If you or your team have delivered a breakthrough green technology, sustainability-focused innovation, or measurable environmental improvement within the past 12 months, we encourage you to submit your entry.

📌 General eligibility

  • You don’t need to be based in a particular country — entries can come from anywhere in the world.

  • This award is aimed at motorsport engineers, sustainability specialists, R&D teams, manufacturers, suppliers, and technical innovators actively contributing to environmentally responsible advancements within motorsport.

📌 Entry requirements
To enter the award, nominees are expected to:​

  • Demonstrate active involvement in motorsport engineering or sustainability-focused technology development (a brief CV or company profile is typically required).

  • Provide clear, verifiable evidence of positive environmental impact — such as carbon reduction, energy efficiency gains, sustainable materials adoption, waste reduction, or lifecycle improvements.

  • Submit a written statement (approximately 400 words) outlining:

  • The innovation or initiative

  • The environmental challenge it addresses

  • Measurable outcomes or data

  • Why it represents a significant step forward for sustainable motorsport

📌 How entries are judged

  • Entries are reviewed by a panel of industry experts, sustainability leaders, and senior technical figures within motorsport.

  • Judges will evaluate submissions based on:

  • Demonstrable environmental impact

  • Innovation and originality

  • Technical excellence

  • Scalability and long-term sustainability potential

  • Contribution to advancing responsible engineering practices in motorsport
